Privacy & Cookies

How this site uses cookies and handles data.

Cookies we use

Paws only uses strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site to function and can't be switched off. We don't use analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking cookies.

Cookie Purpose
session Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. For patrons, remembers which creator's content you've unlocked.
csrf_token Protects forms against cross-site request forgery. A basic security measure.
remember_token For creators who choose to stay logged in, so you don't have to sign in on every visit.

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive, strictly-necessary cookies like these don't require consent, which is why you see a brief notice rather than a consent pop-up. We also store your dismissal of that notice in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so it doesn't reappear on every page.

Data patrons share

When you unlock a creator's content by connecting your Patreon account, Patreon shares your username, email, and membership status with this site so we can verify you're an active patron of the right tier. This information is visible only to the creator whose content you're accessing (and the site administrator), and is never sold or shared with anyone else.

Data creators provide

Creators provide an email and password to run their account, plus their Patreon connection so the platform can check patron memberships on their behalf. Credentials and access tokens are encrypted at rest.

Contact

For any questions about your data, or to request its deletion, contact the administrator of this instance.
